"The Smart Phone" .vs Economy

   OK so, smart phones may be the best thing since "sliced bread" but how financially friendly are they really? I recently received my new Sony Ericson Xperia X10 and found the cheapest plan to be $59.99 a month(i could do that,barely) not bad considering the features and the power that these "ANDROIDS" have inside there tiny little brains, not to mention there like having almost everything we will ever need, you can log onto face book, twitter and download just about anything you want,run a business and its a camera and a camcorder, i typed in meatball parm the other day and i had to pull onto the shoulder for fear of getting a ticket for eating behind the wheel. No but seriously, these new android powered cell phones are very easy to use and that's why they are no longer targeting-just the "business man", but are pushing there ads toward teens and working families, with that said back to $59.99 a month or should i say $111.64 a month after you pay the fees and taxes and the data plan and the text plan and i left out the 1 time activation($36.00) as well as the($69.99) just incase i lose the $459.00 phone, thankfully it was free as long as i locked myself in for a two year ride. I still bring home the same paycheck and i really need to find a second job now, it really baffles me how some families do it with several kids and in a lot of cases with only one income.
                                    How can i tell the Economy is back. Its by the size of restaurant garbage piles of course. The bigger the pile, the better — for more garbage indicates more customers,things are picking up from the last-i don't know how many years-severe economic downturn, with garbage now amassing to the telltale point that "this summer it was stinky again,from what i gather Forbes can tell how the Economy is doing by there "stinky index" For example, its "stinky index" would've been enhanced by a count of the number of people rummaging through those garbage bins to find something to eat all the while texting there better halves to ask what they would like for dinner tonight. So, if you think you can swing a new smart phone, by all means go for it-they are a lot of fun, and if your hesitant for the lack of cash flow, just hold off for a while and stay with your pre-paid  for 20 dollars a month(what i should have done)...

There are many opinions on how to choose the right wood or pellet stove. However, it is important for shoppers not to forget the basics. Here are some distilled hints and tips to get you headed in the right direction.
For purposes of this article, we will discuss freestanding wood stoves and fireplace inserts(space heaters) which are tested to meet the current EPA clean burning standards. We will also consider the following as general stove size categories:

Manufacturers will usually state the firebox size on their literature. If they do not, you can measure it in your local stove shop or ask the dealer or manufacturer. Be sure to consider only the area where you can actually get wood into….don’t count those hidden corners.There is no magic in pellet stoves, wood stoves or coal stoves - same true for corn, or gas. It takes a certain amount of heat (BTUs) to do a certain job!                              NOW YOU SHOULD KNOW- THAT A STOVE DOES NOT HEAT AT ALL - it is the wood (fuel) that you place in it that provides the heat. Therefore, if you intend to burn wood some evenings and weekends, and have a relatively limited supply of wood (like most people), it is important NOT to just go ahead and size the stove to your house size.
EXAMPLE: You have a 2,500 square foot farmhouse in New England, but intend to burn 1 1/2 cords a year. It might be best to get a medium or even a medium small stove and burn it very hot in the colder weather. This creates a more efficient burn. way mor efficient than burning propane,natural gas and even oil.
2 years ago i switched to natural gas from dirty old oil and found good results in the savings area, but nothing can compare to last years edition of a pellet stove, i believe i found the maximum savings especially since we got all of our windows replaced now everything is tight as a button(but that's a whole other topic, upcoming). Both the pellet and wood stoves will definitely keep your home warm and save you some cash, the only difference with the pellet stove is its auger and blower fan that run by electricity, and if there's a power outage(which did happen twice last year, no big deal) you don't have heat for that hopefully short period of time, So one last reason to go wood stove- it will give your kids a chore to do around the house, if you are interested in the saving and think your home is woodstove ready let me know along with your house's specs and i will find you some comparisons and great offers.
